Living Learning Program (LLP)
What's so special about the LLP Halls?
Each of the South Mountain Halls houses a Living/Learning Program. LLP
halls offer many opportunities to meet and work with faculty, professionals,
and other students in your College. Our staff works to keep your college
experiences closely tied to your major and career choices, but what you get
out of the experience depends on you. You will have opportunities to
participate in:
- Interactive projects
- Social Events
- Presentations in your
hall
- Club fairs
- Study sessions/groups
- Barbecues, events, and
lectures with professors

LLP Honors Societies
Each LLP has an Honors Society for students who excel academically each
quarter. Academic
College Associate Deans
and faculty attend quarterly honors banquets. Residents who achieve a
quarterly grade point average of 3.2 or higher and who are positive community
members are eligible.
The Six LLPs at Cal Poly
This, the oldest of the Cal Poly's LLPs, has worked directly with several
community service projects to bring "concept to life through public
action." The goal4/29/08e
interaction and hands-on experience. This LLP also provides drafting stations
in the halls to assist residents with classwork and projects such as:
- Sand castle
competition
- Assisted with design
projects for the San Luis Obispo Botanical Gardens
- CAD presentation

Add dimension to your major through a variety of trips and special faculty
projects that promote Cal Poly's unique "Learn by Doing"
philosophy. This LLP has addressed it's diverse majors through programs and

Students come from many places to study in Cal Poly's well-known
Engineering Department. Santa Lucia/North Mountain Hall's LLP provides you
with the support and camraderie needed to succeed in this rigorous
coursework. In addition, you see the practical and fun sides of Engineering

The most expansive in disciplines, Trinity Hall provides a forum for the
humanities on a polytechnic campus. You have the opportunity to participate
